I created this sub-publication to share roles that might be interesting to my coaching and workshop clients. Mostly one job a day, mostly remote, mostly hiring for other roles as well, and always interesting.

The Black Futures Lab (501c3) works to make Black communities powerful in politics. BFL transforms Black communities into constituencies that wield independent political power at the municipal, state, and federal levels. The problems our communities face is complex; the solutions to those problems require imagination, experimentation, and political power. We advance strategies that help us imagine the alternatives we deserve while building political power at the local, state, and national levels to implement those alternatives.
The Black Futures Lab is hiring a Field Director position. This is a shared position with the Black Futures Lab’s sister organization Black to the Future Action Fund. This position reports to the Deputy Director.
Position Summary
The Field Director serves as a key organizational leader responsible for driving the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Black Futures Lab through effective partnership-building, programmatic leadership, and team management. This position requires a strong collaborator who can develop and implement organizing strategies, manage high-impact campaigns, and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels. The Field Director plays a critical role in advancing integrated voter engagement efforts, supporting grassroots fundraising initiatives, and fostering a culture of growth and professional development among organizing staff.
Experience working in Black communities, as well as familiarity with the dynamics of remote work, is highly desirable.
