Hi Career Besties,
Happy New Year!! I am happy to enter 2025 with a positive mindset about the trajectories of my life, in all its facets. I have been spending the first few days of January brainstorming and writing my goals.
On a professional note, remember that job interview I had a couple of newsletters back, that I had a good feeling about? Well, I am proud and humbled to share that I received the job offer and I start next week! The role is currently part-time with the intention of transitioning to full-time within 2 months. I will be working as a success manager for a fortune 500 brand consultant and strategist, mentoring entrepreneurs in all areas of their content creation, productivity, mindset, associated with their business goals. This company and the position is very much aligned with my professional goals and personal values, and I can’t wait to share more details as I grow.

I love a good ole’ planning session, and it is no different when it comes to my new year resolutions and 2025 vision board. Here are some tips to help you get granular about your goals.
Step 1: Draw 2 lines to create 4 quadrants on a sheet of paper. For each quadrant, name them your 4 areas you want to create goals for. For me, it was “business”, “personal”, “career”, and “wellness”.
Step 2: For each area, write 3 goals you hope to accomplish in 2025.
Step 3: Then focus on each area more in-depth on its own paper, write down the actual steps to achieve each of the 3 goals. It doesn’t have to be neat, it could be just jotted notes, brainstorming, random words, etc.
Some things to consider:
-
What are your short-term and long-term objectives in order to reach your goal?
-
What are the daily, weekly, and monthly objectives in order to reach your goal?
-
What accountability measures will you have in place to keep yourself on track?
-
How will you pace yourself and your objectives to ensure productivity without feeling burn out?
-
Remember to implement the SMART method: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time bound.
Happy 2025 planning!
With warmth,
Jessica
